Department of Marathi has been working since the establishment of the college in 1969.Two subjects, Marathi compulsory and Marathi literature are taught through the department. The department is proud to have a glorious history and rich tradition. A renowned Gyanpith Awardees’ Marathi Poet Kusumagraja( Vishnu VamanShirwadkar) whose birth centenary is celebrated as ‘Marathi Rajbhasha Divas’, had inaugurated Marathi LITERARY ASSOCIATION of the college. Apart from the activities concerning to the syllabus, various literary events/programmes are organized by the department in order to inculcate Marathi reading and writing habits among the students.

Marathi department also conduct 30 hours Addon Certificate Course from session 2017-18. We are also keen to create students interest in Marathi literature and also to develop their social conscience so as to make them ready to provide a helping hand to the poor and the needy
