Bhagwantrao Shivaji Patil Mahavidyalaya, Paratwada was established on 20th June 1969. Founder members of Bhartiya Vidya Mandir Society, Amravati felt the need to start a college in Paratwada to cater the need of rural and tribal areas of Paratwada & Melghat.
The college provide standard facilities for conducive educational atmosphere to the students. The college has well constructed and spacious building, Qualified and Experienced Teaching Staff, well Equipped Computerized Library and Computer Laboratory, Digital Language Laboratory, Media Center & Cultural hall. The college has spacious play fields to organize various sports activities in the campus. The college has student’s consumer store, career guidance cell and entry in services cell. The college is known for its Rose Garden, Vegetable Garden, Vermi Culture & Vermi Compost project.
There are well furnished classrooms for Arts, Commerce under graduate and junior College along with Higher Secondary Vocational. There are facilities to accommodate the students of P.G in English, Yoga-Shastra, Marathi, Home-economics and Commerce.
As per the guidelines of NAAC committee, the staff member honor merit students in their concerned subject along with Best Students of the Year. The list of Merit students as Junior Level, Under Graduate Level and P.G Level is increasing with each new academic year. Similarly, color holders in Youth Festival & Physical Education is on the rise.
Bharatiya Vidya Mandir, an organization formed by a group of young devoted socially oriented teachers in 1958. It was a time when the management of the education institution was completely under the control of powerful lobbies with vested interest. With an earnest desire to put an end to have an organization governed by the teaching community itself. It was the mission of service to the society without the narrow.
Consideration of caste, creed and community that paved the way for birth of this new society of young teachers. The society runs three education institutes at Amravati, Paratwada and Morshi. The society has always tried to expand the horizon of its activities and facilities for the benefit of students in this region.
